Installing Air Force One

Just got one for my 05 Pilot...
I plan on doing the install myself..I have average mechanical skills..Installed my Brakemaster with no problems...
What is the hardest part of the AFO install? I thought all I needed to do was connect to my existing air terminal I installed on the rear of the coach, but apparently not...that connection comes directly off the service brake port on the manifold...
Thanks for any input and suggestions..

RE: Weber Baby Q Propane Issues

Since it works fine with a throwaway, it seems like your problem is within your hose from the big tank to the Q
I would try another hose and bet you will be ok...

RE: rear lighting for 05 Pilot

If it's in the manual and something happens, it's on them!! Others tow them without problems, even later an 05!

RE: Gulf Shores recommendations?

Gulf State Park is very nice....450 sites filled with snowbirds...minimal trees since Ivan wiped it out 4 yrs ago...it's 1/4 mile from the beach with a bunch of stuff to do in the area..

RE: Impressed with CAT 3126 MPG...

but I was travelling 72-74mph pretty much the whole time.
That's pretty scarey, especially on tires that you know need replacing..I believe you are more than pushing your luck:E

RE: Honda Pilot vs Acura MDX

MrUsa...I ended up with a 05 Pilot after comparing with the MDX. I am 6'4" and just could NOT get my feet comfortable on the MDX pedals after all possible seat adjustments were made. The Pilot has more leg room. I also noted that the price difference was now only $2250 vs a bunch more than that new, suggesting the Pilot holds value much better than the MDX....both real nice cars!
Bruce...you are towing an 06 Pilot....without Honda's blessings????? Shame on you!

rear lighting for 05 Pilot

Just got an 05 pilot and it looks like the best way is to go with diodes vs bulb/socket kits due to the lens being so clear as to look odd with an extra bulb sitting caddywampus in the housing..am I right?

RE: Transmission Lubrication Pumps

sundancer....maybe the lack of response is telling you something about the company...I have heard nothing but bad about the company lately and worse stories about the product when it fails.....

Honda Pilot vs Acura MDX

I'm about to get one of these (2005 or earlier)next weekend and wonder if the MDX is worth the extra price...is it really THAT much nicer? Any functional reason to pick one over the other???

RE: Do you carry a portable HD dish?

it depends on what kind of camping you do...I prefer being in the woods and most times the roof dish is blocked...I have 150 of cable for my Slimline dish and can almost always find an 18 degree gap in the tree canopy and hook up...wouldnt leave home without it!!

RE: Packin while on the road

It's much better to have and not need than the other way around...I always pack and if someone breaks in it will be their last attempted burglary.

I know the 05s and earlier are flat towable...any FIRM word on an 06 AWD or front drive?

RE: Wireless outside thermometer. Where to put it???

I built a simple aluminum strap holder for my sender and attach it to the ladder....it stays fine underway and once the engine cools it reads fine..just not protected from the sun.

RE: Windshield & side window glare

The only thing I REALLY dont like with my coach is the huge windshield...it's 66" tall..and the driver side window isnt much less...Very tough to enjoy the ride went heading into the sun in any direction....I have added very heavy tint to the top 15" of the windshield and max legal tint to the side window....helps a bit but still very hot in the sun...we use a high output squirrel cage fan blowing forward to be more comfortable....the house AC is useless in those conditions....

RE: RV with toad thru Mtns. what should I know

I say they don't brake because after 3 or 4 presses your breaks are dead unless there is some sort system on your brake controller to recharge the brakes on the toad.
Not quite true....the box brakes are DESIGNED to work a dead pedal...if you have vacuum in the system, the toad wheels will lock up and make expensive flat spots in the tires...you are supposed to eliminate the vacuum before you roll...
